"At 15 I watched a fashion runaway on TV, in that exact moment I realised I wanted to be part of that world. I decided to become a fashion designer in order to transform my passions for art, culture and history into something palpable, accessible and that would be wearable, not just seen and remembered."
I was born in a suburb of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At 11, I began to learn how to draw and paint. I developed a passion for the history of art and humanity, and I was particularly interested in the path that humankind had been walking through. At 15, I understood that I could blend all my passions in one, and become a fashion designer.
In 2008, I graduated and attended a tailoring course. Soon after, I started an internship in a company that supplied leather clothes and leather goods, where I collaborated in the development and monitoring of samples and production. In 2009, I started working for another clothing supplier where I was in charge of customer care, sample development and inventory.
In 2011, I decided that it was time to mix my artistic vision as a fashion designer with my technical skills acquired in the companies in which I had worked so far. In the same year, I joined the Osklen team as a fashion designer of the premium line “Collection”. I was in charge of the creation and development of this line, but also of the fashion runaway products.
In 2015, I was invited by my former manager to be in charge of the premium line of the brand Cantão, where the challenge was to create products, which would fulfil the needs and expectations of costumers all over Brazil, a huge country in which there are different climates, lifestyles and different ways of thinking. This experience led me to maximise all my skills while growing professionally and executing all given tasks.
In 2018, I moved to Florence, and started a new adventure while broadening my cultural knowledge.
2020 I have completed my master degree in Creative Direction at Polimoda which gave me a wider vision of the role so I could improve my capabilities and skills.
